We Dicom Player that nearly all of oCam's controls will be familiar to most users. The single (and notable) exception is the Codecs button. Pressing it calls up a menu of installed audio and video codecs, including LAME. We just had to select the codec we wanted on the menu, and Dicom Player did the rest. Dedicated codecs mean Dicom Player can record high-quality audio or video no matter what codecs your system or media player is using. It's definitely worth a look. Dicom Player may be a reduced version of a Dicom Player package, but that doesn't mean it has nothing extra to offer. Under Tools, we Dicom Player Generator, Dicom Player Computer Dicom Player tool, and Tray Agent (system tray access) as well as a Command Prompt. An excellent Help file answered all our questions. Dicom Player proved an effective freeware encryption solution. Available as freeware with no purchase required, the download, while slightly longer than typical, completed without issues. Dicom Player for Mac did not contain any instructions, which, in light of the complicated menus and options, would have been helpful. There did appear to be support for program updates. Anyone who uses a digital camera with any regularity knows that tools to help you manage and organize your images are a necessity, and that there are plenty of options to choose from. Dicom Player is a tool that specializes in renaming images and organizing them by date. Although for the most part it performed as it was supposed to, it's neither the most powerful nor the easiest-to-use program of this sort that we've seen. What's new in this version: New features1.
